ZVB20_20GHz network analyzer_Rohde & Schwarz ZVB features
1) Comprehensive functions for optimizing productivity
R&S ZVB‘s new platform uses fundamental mixing technology, which has been used in the ZVR series vector network for 10 years. Its dynamic range is 123dB, the track noise is less than 0.01dB, and the measurement bandwidth ranges from 1 Hz to 500 kHz. When the measurement bandwidth is 500 kHz, the measurement sweep time of 201 points is less than 8ms.
The measurement time can be further optimized through segmented scanning, and the number of segments is limited by the memory of the instrument. The scanning parameters (such as frequency point interval, measurement bandwidth, source level) in each frequency band can be set independently to suit the test of the DUT.
Different settings can be stored in the hard disk in the form of files, and can also be loaded into the memory of the instrument at the same time. Each setting represents an independent window. In manual mode, you can switch between different settings (settings-switching) with a simple click of the mouse; in remote control mode, you can shorten the switching time by setting switching. Once recalled, these settings (including calibration data) will be automatically saved in RAM, so that different settings can be quickly switched through the IEC bus within 10ms. Since the trajectory data is also transmitted through the IEC/IEEE bus or LAN port while data is being collected, the data transmission time of R&S ZVB can be ignored.
The R&S ZVB based on the multi-source concept allows grouping of test ports. The configuration for parallel measurement can be defined in the "Port Manager" dialog box. Each port group can measure independently relative to the other groups, so that all groups can measure in parallel at the same time, so that multiple DUTs or multiple ports of a DUT can be measured at the same time.
2) Modern user interface
When using Vectornet to perform complex measurements, especially when performing multi-port applications, an intuitive and easy-to-understand operation interface is required. R&S ZVB provides a simple and easy-to-understand operation interface, which is beneficial to users who are not trained or who rarely use the instrument. Although it has many measurement ports and measurement parameters, numerous display frames and traces, and comprehensive functions, the basic measurement tasks of R&S ZVB are easy to complete.
Even those users who are familiar with network analyzers will appreciate the R&S ZVB interface.
In addition to reliable hot keys and soft keys, R&S ZVB20_20GHz network analyzer_Rohde & Schwarz ZVB also provides drop-down menu options that can be selected with the mouse. The menu structure selected by the mouse is exactly the same as the arrangement of the hotkey/softkey structure, so that you can use these two methods to find the desired function in the same location.
With the aid of dialog boxes, you can also easily manage a large number of test ports, test parameters and test traces. The measurement wizard of R&S ZVB includes complex operating procedures, such as calibration and measurement of balance devices. For standard measurements, the user can set up the instrument step by step under the guidance of the wizard.
There is no need to carry out complex menu changes, just a few simple keystrokes or clicks of the mouse, you can quickly configure the track to a specific frame and channel.
The hot key group also provides some auxiliary functions, such as online help, device hardware information, and current configuration. The continuous online help is part of the software upgrade, and it also contains the latest product information.
R&S ZVB also has a very novel UNDO function-you can return to several previous operations, even if you reset the instrument, you can also undo the return. Therefore, time-consuming resetting caused by misoperation has become a thing of the past.
In addition, the powerful trajectory math function allows all trajectories to be associated and merged in real time. The edited formula can be saved or transferred to other devices.
3) Comprehensive calibration method, automatic calibration
Since each port is equipped with an independent measurement receiver and reference receiver, R&S ZVB, like its predecessor, also provides all calibration methods.
R&S ZVB provides the classic TOSM calibration method (through, open, short, matched load), also known as the SOLT method (short, open, load, through). In addition to the TOSM method and the multi-port calibration method, R&S ZVB also provides 7 error model calibration methods, such as TOM (through, open, matching), TRL (through, reflection, line), TRM (through, reflection, matching) And TNA (through, network, attenuation). The TNA method is suitable for the calibration of test fixtures.
The 7-term error model calibration method has great advantages. It not only reduces the number of calibration parts, but also can use some standard parts with unknown parameters, and the calibration accuracy obtained is the same as the TOSM method.
In addition to the manual calibration method described above, an electronic calibration unit can also be used for automatic calibration. The calibration time is about 20 seconds.
The calibration unit 1 (up to 8 GHz) and ZV-Z52 (up to 24 GHz) can automatically calibrate the ports (1 to 4) of the R&S ZVB series vector network. It can be completed only by simple connection and a few simple operations, while manual calibration requires several mechanical calibration parts plus careful operations to complete.
In just half a minute, the network analyzer can complete a complete 4-port calibration (system error correction), and then it can be used for measurement. The connector form of the calibration unit is N type (female) and 3.5mm (female).
